The latest update, entitled 'Perilous Plunder', takes the action underwater with diver enemies that wouldn't look out of place in Rapture. Of course, it's not just the standard undead in opposition here, it's all manner of fanciful freaks. Originating in 2016 on PC before branching out to PlayStation 4, Killing Floor 2 is an attempt to capitalize and expand on the popularity of Call of Duty's off the wall Zombies mode. For Killing Floor 2, it's also a test of a new set of servers, as the game's previous PC release on Steam integrated Valve's networking tools and other features exclusive to the platform.
